Please note that a valid BMV-issued accessibility placard is required for all vehicles occupying ADA designated spaces. This placard must be properly registered and prominently displayed in your vehicle at all times. The placard must be valid and unexpired, and the expiration date must be visible from outside the vehicle.

Permit parkers utilizing ADA spaces must upload their placard registration to their UAkronPark account, confirming the placard’s assignment to the permit holder. This step is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our parking system and ensuring that ADA spaces serve those genuinely in need. The requirement to upload ADA placard registration does not apply to those holding daily permits or transient parkers, but the visibility of a valid placard remains mandatory.

Failure to adhere to these regulations will lead to enforcement actions that will include fines and may result in the revocation of parking privileges. UAkronPark’s objective is to ensure fair access to ADA parking spaces and prevent misuse that could disadvantage members of our community who rely on these accommodations.
